Ra the Sun King created the universe and all living creatures who lived on a land called Pazvera Eterna, which was an eternal paradise for many eons. After creating and nurturing a small population of elven creatures, Ra was murdered by the evil goddess, Apep, Mistress of Mayhem, who took over his throne and enforced chaos and anarchy under her rule. She isolated the elves to a tiny island and banished them from Pazvera, throwing them deeper into outer space. After Ra's death, the entire universe plunged into darkness without his sunlight, and for 12,000 years, all innocent creatures lived in fear of Apep and the chaotic society she enforced...until a young elf came into the picture.
